Safety operating procedures for gantry machining center

05. 16, 2025

(I) Preparation before starting the machine:

1. The operator must operate strictly in accordance with the operation manual and check according to the inspection table before work.

2. The operator must strictly follow the lubrication requirements to add oil and lubricate, and achieve "three determinations" (timing, quantity, and quality).

3. The equipment must be checked before starting, and the equipment can be powered on and started only after confirming that there is no abnormality in the equipment.

(II) Starting the machine tool:

1. After the machine tool is powered on and started, check whether the fans in each device are running normally; whether the motors and pumps that have been started are running normally, and whether there are any abnormal sounds.

2. After confirming that there are no abnormalities, the operator manually moves each axis at a low speed, observes whether the display of the moving direction is normal, and whether there are any abnormal sounds in the transmission system and each motor. Then return to the reference point and preheat before processing.

3. During the processing of the workpiece, if you need to manually measure the workpiece, you must press the feed lock button to stop the measurement.

4. If the operator needs to make tool compensation during operation, he must be careful and not reverse the direction or enter the wrong decimal point.

5. If the operator needs to replace the head bin during operation, he needs to pay attention to the cleaning of the head bin to avoid machine tool alarm.

6. When loading and unloading workpieces, they must be handled with care, and heavy objects must not be hit on the machine tool. Brutal operation is strictly prohibited.

7. During the operation of the machine tool, the operator is strictly prohibited from leaving the machine tool operating position; if you need to leave, you must stop the machine.

8. The operator shall not change the machine tool parameters without authorization.

9. All filters and filters should be cleaned regularly.

10. During the work process, the operator should pay attention to whether the equipment has abnormal movements or sounds. If there is any abnormality, stop the machine in time and find maintenance personnel to deal with it.

(III) Precautions after production is completed:

1. There should not be a large amount of iron filings on the guide surface, under the workbench, and near the switches. Keep them clean.

2. Do not vibrate, CNC system and its circuits, and do not touch the circuits in the electrical cabinet at will to prevent electric shock and unnecessary impact on the equipment.

3. After work, remove iron filings and dirt, keep the machine clean, cut off the power supply, and make handover records.

(IV) Maintenance matters:

1. If the equipment cannot be used normally before use, find a professional maintenance personnel for maintenance.

2. During the use of the equipment, if there is a failure of the equipment, you must immediately find a professional maintenance personnel for maintenance. Non-professional maintenance personnel are strictly prohibited from repairing to prevent accidents.
