Common problems and solutions for CNC machining centers are as follows:

1. Uneven machining surface


The uneven machining surface is not only caused by the performance of the cutting oil not meeting the machining requirements. When the tool feed speed is too fast, the vibration caused by the rapid movement of the tool will easily leave an uneven path on the machining surface. Sometimes there will be a certain difference in the tool marks between two adjacent tool paths, which is caused by the inconsistent cutting direction of the tool. To avoid this problem, you should use the full forward milling processing method and select a dedicated cutting oil.


2. The tool mark on the side of the fine milling is too obvious


The main reason for this problem is the improper selection of the position and parameters of the feed and retract tool. The milling methods provided by different processing software will also be different, but they will provide the depth selection of the cutter and the parameter selection of the entry and exit of the cutter. In addition, when using non-special cutting oil, due to the insufficient extreme pressure and anti-wear performance, the oil film will break instantly during the processing process, resulting in scratches on the workpiece. To avoid the above-mentioned problems, relevant adjustments can be made from four aspects.


First, the selection of the entry point must be correct;


Second, if you must cut in the middle, you must increase the overlap;


Third, when finishing the side, full cutting depth should be used; fourth, special cutting oil should be used for finishing.


3. Tool change marks during fine milling


In ordinary processing and high-speed processing, tool replacement is required. If you do not pay attention to the relevant adjustment of parameters during tool change operation, obvious marks will appear, seriously affecting the appearance of the workpiece. To solve this problem, in the processing of the workpiece, the finishing of the concave corners needs to be replaced with small tools. Since it will swing due to force during the processing process, it is easy to produce tool connection marks at the corners.


4. Burrs or sharp edges are left on the surface or side after finishing


Be very careful when using the tool, and use special tools to ensure sharp cutting. In addition, it is also necessary to plan the tool path and add a secondary finishing tool path, that is, first process the surface, then process the side, and then process the surface again, so that there are no burrs and cutting edges, which is very useful for workpieces that cannot be polished.


5. Finishing of workpieces with special shapes


For the finishing of some workpieces with special shapes, the software usually has a fitting error. Sometimes, if the calculated error is too large, it will cause the deformation of the workpiece and affect the appearance. To solve this problem, we must start from the software and control the error. This value is relatively reasonable, which does not affect the calculation speed and does not cause deformation of the workpiece.
