The operation problem of CNC lathe tool post

Apr. 02, 2021

The CNC lathe is composed of CNC device, bed, headstock, tool post feed system, tailstock, hydraulic system, cooling system, lubrication system, chip conveyor and many other parts. It can also be equipped with the following two types of tool post.

① Tool holder: It is developed by the CNC lathe manufacturer itself, and the tool holder used is also a series. The manufacturing cost is low, but it lacks versatility.

②Universal tool post: The tool post produced according to the relevant general standards, the lathe manufacturer can choose and configure according to the specific functions of the CNC lathe.

   1) When the tool holder is not locked tightly, explain:

①The position of the sending plate is not aligned: Remove the top cover of the tool holder, rotate and adjust the position of the sending plate, and then make the Hall element of the tool holder align with the magnetic steel, so that the tool position is stopped at an accurate position.

②The system anti-lock time is not long: just adjust the system anti-lock time parameter (the new tool post anti-lock time is 1.2s).

③The locking mechanism of the CNC lathe is malfunctioning: disassemble the tool post, adjust the machine, and check whether the positioning pin is broken.

   2) The tool post runs continuously or in place without stopping:

①Because the tool post can run continuously, the probability of failure of the CNC lathe as a whole is very small, and it is mainly checked from the electrical position.

②Check whether the in-position signal is sent out. If the in-position signal is not sent out, it means that the sending board is malfunctioning.

③Whether the elastic contacts of the sender plate are worn out, and whether the ground wire is disconnected, poorly contacted, or missed. At this time, it is necessary to replace or re-repair the elastic contact. According to the contact of the relay in the circuit, the contact of the switch in place, and the connection of the circuit, carry out the line fault removal
